HUNTINGDON CO, Pa (WJAC) — According to a release from the Department of Corrections, SCI Smithfield officials have reported the prison's first COVID-19 death among inmates.
Authorities say the inmate, whose name will not be released, was a 77-year-old male with underlying health conditions.
Officials say he had been transferred to a hospital in Clearfield County to receive care.

Huntingdon Co., PA (WJAC) — In Huntingdon County, the trial is scheduled to begin next week for a Mount Union Area School guidance counselor who is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
