PA teen, 13, charged with homicide after stabbing woman to death in Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, PA — Authorities say a 13-year-old girl is being charged as an adult with homicide after stabbing a woman to death inside a home in Pennsylvania on Friday. Police say they were called to the scene around noon for a report of an unresponsive woman who was not breathing. When they arrived, they found the 44-year-old victim with multiple stab wounds to her neck, back and heavy blood flowing from her head.

PSU coach James Franklin pressured team doctor to clear injured players

WJAC — A former team doctor for the Penn State football team accused head coach James Franklin of trying to influence the doctor's decisions on when to medically clear injured players to allow them to resume playing. Dr. Scott Lynch, in a lawsuit filed in Dauphin County Court, also names Penn State Athletic Director Sandy Barbour, Penn State Health and the Penn State Hershey Medical Center as defendants. Lynch claims Franklin obstructed regulations dealing with the medical management of student-athletes.

FCC upholds license revocation of former Somerset County radio host Roger Wahl

SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — In what is likely the final chapter in the years-long legal battle between the FCC and Somerset County radio personality Roger Wahl, the commission has upheld its decision to revoke Wahl's license. According to a release made public earlier this month, the FCC denied Wahl's attempt to review and appeal the decision. The latest order comes nearly one year after the FCC initially voted to revoke Wahl's radio license in the wake of his criminal investigation.

Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Our coverage on tractor pulling safety continues as we spoke with a driver and saw how they make sure it’s as safe as possible. We were able to see everything from the protective equipment that the drivers wear, to the different parts of the tractor. We also learned about what guidelines are in place for these events. Tractor pulling is going on at many of the fairs in the commonwealth and with big machines comes big risks, but local puller Steve Mundrick says it’s safer than a lot of other competitions.
