Steelers signing former Falcons, Bucs WR to one-year deal

PITTSBURGH (WJAC) — According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly signing free-agent wide-receiver Scotty Miller to a one-year deal. The 26-year-old most recently played for the Atlanta Falcons, and will be reunited with Arthur Smith, who has taken over as the Steelers' new offensive coordinator. Miller was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019 and spent four seasons with them. He has played in 67 career games, recording 85 catches, for over 1,000 total yards and 6 touchdowns.

Tabitha Buck, convicted at 17 in Lancaster County murder, released from prison

LANCASTER COUNTY — Tabitha Buck, the Lancaster County woman who was convicted at the age of 17 in the murder of a 16-year-old decades ago has been released from prison. According to the Department of Corrections, Buck, now 45, was released on Dec. 21, 2019. Buck, 45, was re-sentenced to 28 years to life in November 2017. In August 2019, the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole granted her parole.

Bishop Guilfoyle announces plan to rebrand and expand

Bishop Guilfoyle will soon be known as Bishop Guilfoyle Academy after the combination of Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic School and Holy Trinity Catholic School this upcoming school year, according to a press release. In addition to the name change, officials with the school announced the opening of an additional site for PreK and Kindergarten, and ultimately a full elementary school in Hollidaysburg. In the statement, they said the new campus will add to the existing two elementary school campuses in Altoona which are reaching capacity due to growth in enrollment.

Crews called to drowning incident at local hotel pool

UPDATE:Cambria County, PA — The manner of death for the 18-year-old male involved in a drowning at the local Holiday Inn, located on the 200 block of Market Street, in downtown Johnstown, has been ruled as accidental, by Cambria county coroner Jeff Lees. Lees says there were no other factors found to be in play for the man's death. ORIGINAL:911 officials in Cambria County say first responders were dispatched for a drowning at a local hotel on Sunday.

Huntingdon man confesses to 'having sex with' teen 15-30 times

Huntingdon Co., PA (WJAC) — State police in Huntingdon County say a local man is behind bars after he allegedly admitted to engaging in sexual activity with a teenage girl approximately 15 to 30 times. Troopers say they first began investigating 32-year-old Mark Musser last October after receiving multiple complaints of an ongoing "mutual sexual relationship" between him and a 13-year-old girl. Police say the victim told troopers that she first met Musser in 2018, or 2019, while working on his family's farm.
