A brood is a certain group of cicadas that only emerges during a certain cycle. This year, two different broods are coming out at the same time, and trillions are expected to make an appearance.

The Johnstown Housing Authority held a public hearing on Thursday to obtain public comments on the Authority’s Annual Plan for FY 2024, the 2024 Capital Fund Annual Statement, the Five-Year Statement as well as a Significant Amendment to the Annual Plan for FY 2023.
The amendment specifically addressed the situation in Prospect after 101 families were given notice back in March to vacate the premises due to what the authority called a discovery of structural deficiencies.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Two weeks ago Robert Levin and the parent company of Levin Furniture signed a letter of intent which would have allowed Robert Levin, the former president and owner of the Pittsburgh-based Levin Furniture to buy the business as the business was going through Bankruptcy Court restructuring of the parent company Art Van Furniture, LLC.
On Thursday, Levin learned that the parent company decided to close all Levin Furniture and Wolf Furniture stores immediately, to terminate the employees, and not proceed with the terms of the aforementioned agreement.
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WJAC) — University police say a former Penn State student is facing child pornography charges.
According to a criminal complaint, the Federal Bureau of Investigation served a search warrant June 4, 2020 at Atherton Hall, a dormitory-style residency hall on the Penn State University campus.
Authorities say the investigation involved now 21-year-old Terry Faber although he was not living at the dorm at the time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
