850 grams of meth seized during Jefferson Co. bust

JEFFERSON CO, Pa (WJAC) — According to Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, an Ohio man and his female accomplice have been arrested following a methamphetamine bust in Jefferson County. Authorities say 25-year-old Kimari Jackson and 26-year-old Kareem Rock have been charged with possession with the intent to deliver approximately 850 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 150 tablets of morphine, and 30 grams of cocaine. On Feb. 6, state police stopped Jackson's vehicle after she was observed driving erratically, and discovered that both her and Rock had active arrest warrants from Ohio.

Anti-Israel protests held Saturday at college commencements

Small protests popped up sporadically Saturday as colleges and universities from North Carolina to California held commencement ceremonies, including dozens of graduating students at Virginia Commonwealth University who walked out on an address by Gov. Glenn Youngkin. While some of the estimated 100 students and family members who left during the Republican governor's speech showedsupport for Palestinians, others held signs signaling opposition to Youngkin's policies on education, according to WRIC-TV.

Business developers announce new project for 'Altoona Renaissance'

ALTOONA -- Arts Altoona announced Tuesday that the nonprofit plans to turn the old Kress department store building into a studio and gallery during what they call a "renaissance" downtown. Many downtown storefronts have been empty for years, leaving remnants of the city's economic heyday.
