Four injured, including boy, 8, in crash on I-99 that killed Cherry Tree man

UPDATE | Bedford County, PA (WJAC) — State police in Bedford County have released new details about the cause of Monday's fatal crash on Interstate 99 in East Saint Clair Township. Troopers say the crash claimed the life of 38-year-old Kevin Kutzler Jr., of Cherry Tree, and also sent four others to the hospital, including Kutzler's 8-year-old passenger. Investigators say the crash occurred around 5:20 a.m. near the 4.7 northbound mile marker, according to thecrash report.

More than 30 dogs rescued from back of locked U-Haul trailer in scorching heat

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Oklahoma City police have released body camera footage of officers rescuingover 30 dogs from the back of a U-Haul truck in scorching June heat. On June 5, OKC officers were called to a Walmart parking lot after staff noticed a U-Haul parked in the middle of a hot afternoon that sounded and smelt like it was full of animals. Officers had to cut off a lock to access the inside of the U-Haul trailer.

New name, new coat of paint for Johnstown bridge; PennDOT provides project update

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — The Johnstown Firefighters Memorial Bridge, formerly the Franklin Street Bridge, was unveiled Friday - showing off its fresh coat of red paint. Construction began Monday to replace the expansion dams on the bridge, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said in a press release. Drivers, PennDOT noted, should expect some possible “minor delays” due to a detour on Route 56. The $4.8 million project is expected to be completed by late November, depending on weather.
