Huntingdon Co., PA (WJAC) — State police in Huntingdon County say an Alexandria man is behind bars following an animal cruelty investigation from earlier this month.
Authorities say on April 6th, troopers received a report of animal cruelty that had reportedly occurred at an address along Valley View Circle, in Shirley Township.
Troopers say the caller stated that 26-year-old Zackery Faubert had been house sitting for her and had allegedly called to tell her that her cat had reportedly attacked her son.
Last march a man told law enforcement his two sons bought what they thought were CBD products from CBD of Altoona, but it turned out they were Delta-8 THC gummies according to a criminal complaint.
It states both sons were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Delta-8 can be found naturally in cannabis plants according to the National Institutes of Health, and it can be considered hemp. In 2018 the Agriculture Improvement Act, or the farm bill, “Removed hemp and hemp seeds from the Drug Enforcement Administration's schedule of Controlled Substances,” according to the United States Department of Agriculture.
