GAZA STRIP (TND) — A 19-year-old Israeli woman has been killed in Hamas terrorist custody, according to a video released Monday by the terrorist organization. The killing of Corporal Noa Marciano was confirmed Tuesday by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), which released a statement mourning the loss of one of its own. “Our hearts are with the Marciano family whose daughter, Noa, was brutally kidnapped by the Hamas terrorist organization,” the IDF stated, according to the Jerusalem Post.

Bird flu found in beef for the first time, USDA says beef still safe to eat

Bird flu has been detected in beef for the first time, the U.S. Department of Agricultureannounced Friday, but officials said the meat from a single sickened dairy cow was not allowed to enter the nation's food supply and beef remains safe to eat. The USDA said the virus was found as part of testing of 96 dairy cows that were diverted from the supply because federal inspectors noticed signs of illness during routine inspections of carcasses at meat processing plants.

Downtown Johnstown Rite Aid closing

The Rite Aid on Market Street in downtown Johnstown is closing according to city manager Ethan Imhoff. One Johnstown resident Cynthia James said it will affect many people downtown, but especially older people in the multiple senior living towers. “We're talking senior citizens that live alone, take care of themselves, have been down here for years and been independent living on their own but now they have to look for somebody to help them,” James said.

Officer, driver injured after man crashes into cop car during traffic stop on 219

UPDATE |RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (WJAC) — Richland Township police have released new information regarding Wednesday night's crash on Route 219, in Cambria County, that sent two people to the hospital. Police say a Richland Township police officer was conducting a traffic stop, near the Elton Road exit, and a second officer had stopped to assist. Authorities say during the course of the traffic stop, a man had entered 219 southbound, via the bypass, and continued traveling along the berm of the road.

Three construction workers killed in crash on I-83 in York Co., road reopened

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — UPDATE | Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that three construction workers were killed in Tuesday morning's crash. Investigators say that a box truck, driven by a 24-year-old, crashed into a construction vehicle in an active work zone. The crash caused the box truck to strike the three workers on the shoulder of the road. Police say the workers were pronounced dead on scene. Southbound lanes have since reopened.
